Dion Lee, Spring 2013

Well, blog readers, I leave London today for the City of Light...Paris! I have found so many inspirational sights and pieces that I am sad to go.  However, I am sure Paris will be no different.

I would like to leave you with this final fashion designer from London's Fashion Week, Dion Lee.   He is a high end designer from Australia who began showing in London in 2011.  I am pleased to share with you some of his pieces which feature fabulous sculptured neoprene peplums, exosceletal/harsh lines juxtaposed with soft sheer fabrics and some daring curves throughout each piece.

Take a peek...

Topshop Unique

Ok everyone...I've found it. My new favorite store - Topshop...I mean, I knew about this little gem, but really didn't know anything until I actually stepped foot inside one here in London.  Then, I remembered seeing a ultra-chic line from London's Spring 2013 Fashion Week last month....Topshop Unique.

Kate Phelan, the designer for Unique, has deemed the line "Topshop's big sister."  A mostly black and white palette, streamlined silhouettes, the confident use of sheer and shine, and the fluid, light layering all combine to give the clothes an urban airiness.

Check it out...absolutely brilliant.

Cheers!

Emilia Wickstead, Spring 2013 Ready to Wear

Between sight seeing, cocktails and shopping in London, I fully intend to turn on the TV and check out what the BBC has to offer.  As my thoughts wander, I think about all of the reality shows that flood our TVs back in the States and I am curious as to what is big in London.  Surely, they have their own take on The Housewives of (insert city here) and I guarantee that if they do, one if not all of these ladies would be wearing (or be coveting) the fabulous Emilia Wickstead's pieces.

I fell for Ms. Wickstead's collection while checking out the Spring 2013 London Fashion Week.  This designer is known for classic lines, beautiful fabrics and a hint of sexy. This is Emilia Wickstead's mere second Ready To Wear collection and already she is creating quite the buzz.  Her background is a made-to-measure designer to England's most affluent ladies and now with her new collection, anyone can rock the look...famous housewife...or not!

Cheers!

That Girl is in a "Koma"...

...David Koma, that is! Koma is an ultra cool British designer with a very distinct look...I totally plan on checking him out this week while I'm in London!  His latest Spring 2013 Ready-To-Wear collection offers hip variations of the tennis dress, which seem more at home in the nightclub than in the country club!  He took that tennis concept a bit further drawing inspiration from the actual net and tennis racket as well. I love it!

His designs are sculptural, geometric and contemporary with accents of patent leather.  Several trends you will see in this line include the sheer/solid fabric use and the peek-a-boo tummy.  Some of my favorite pieces are below!

Since I'll be traveling in London for the next few days, I'll be featuring several British designers.  I can't wait to share what I find!

Cheers!
