Warm and Fuzzy

Baby it's coooooold outside and all I can think about is bundling up with a fabulous coat when I head out today.  I am a sucker for coats and jackets and I recently tried on the most amazing fur jacket at one of my favorite stores, Scarlet in Little Rock.  Check out that jacket here.  It got me thinking about how amazingly warm I felt when I slipped it on and led me to find these fabulous pieces below!

I adore this Kimono Wool Felt coat by Lanvin.  The color is hot this year and so is this cut!  If anyone knows who this model is, though, do share...I would love to send her a cupcake or ten...

Just can't go wrong with chic black leather - from Anna Sui's 2013 Spring collection.

This BCBGMAXAZRIA Noel Quilted Coat is so versatile...I love how you can dress it up or down by the addition of the faux fur vest.  There is nothing warmer - or easier to pack - than a puffy jacket either!

This amazing red wool coat from Michael Kors' Spring 2013 collection is to die for!!! I love the round detail on the collar and the pockets.

Burberry has some amazing outerware and this Military jacket from Nordstrom is no different.  It is so classic, yet the styling appears to be a blend of military and trench.

Stay warm!

Naeem Khan

This is my favorite time of year.  No, not the time when we all think about our New Year's Resolutions and get serious about hitting the gym, eating better, being a better person or whatever else it is we always mean to do.  No.  I'm talking about something else that starts in January...

Awards show time! least the pre-show on the red carpet.  I typically can't watch TV for too long; but, during this time, I can't help but stay glued as I study the gowns that the stars are wearing and try to spot the trends for the year to come.

This year, while watching the Golden Globe Awards, I noticed the fabulously embellished dresses worn by so many on the red carpet.  My favorite of these was the amazing pastel Naeem Khan dress worn by Nicole Richie.  I started to research some of Khan's dresses and I am in love!

Jennifer Westfeldt in Naeem Khan

Naeem Khan is known for his ornate, intricately detailed, work along with his handmade fabrics.   After learning about fabrics and the intricate bead works from his grandfather who was a designer for Indian royalty, he traveled to America in 1976.  He then worked with Roy Halston (Halston Heritage, by the way, is one of my personal favorite design houses!) and as a designer for the Riazee label before he started his own line. Khan’s clients include celebrities such as Beyonce and Eva Longoria.

Below are some of my favorite 2013 Naeem Khan gowns!

Sleek Shower Heads

There is nothing like slipping into a steamy, hot shower after a long day of work or a strenuous workout.  It's the place where I come up with my best ideas, sing my best tunes, and escape from the world - even if for just a few minutes, to re-group and start things off fresh (and clean).

I have recently seen the most fabulous shower systems during my travels, and it sparked my interest to start doing additional research on what the latest and greatest is for the residential bathroom.  Below are my favorites.

This sleek shower head won the title of Interior Design's 2011 Best of the Year Award.  Art by Gessi

The Segni shower fixtures, also by Gessi, are cool on their own...but are simply amazing when grouped together as shown here.

The Rami by Gattoni delivers a great rain spray with a much more whimsical look than the typical rainhead fixture.

If whimsical is not your style, the Labyrinth, also by Gattoni, might work with it's geometric lines.

Not only is this amazing shower system designed by Lockie Von Moger a piece of art in itself, it also does it's part for water conservation.  The Ishi Shower is equipped with a pause button to stop the water flow while you lather up!

The Gaia by Frattini delivers the feel of a multi-function showerhead with a sleek look - with chromatherapy!  However, if a purple shower is not your thing, the fixture is still pretty amazing without.

Finally, this shower head by Kohler has probably been the biggest hit with all of my younger clients.  The Moxie is fully equipped with a bluetooth enabled MP3 speaker within the shower head.

Happy Showering!
